Depends which train, no one will tell you anything on a thameslink type one, off peak
I reckon you can get away with it on a lot of trains, off peak. defo on Thameslink, you can stand it up and it doesn't take much more space than a standing person.
Or do a tour and ride it home ...
Also good towards camdridge, or essex on the east anglian, but the Home Counties are a problem, as with anything :)
