<£100, but £250 will get you an annoyingly tall flagpole, might as well go big. Needs 1m deep 50cm sq block for footing.

how about people who put up a flagpole and then decide to just use the cheap poly football banner they take with them for a security blanket when they want to smash up some bars overseas instead of an actual flag but are worried people might not know they're english.

Generally concur but there is one house in the countryside(ish) I regularly drive past with a proper massive one which has a good selection of flags. Bright yellow acid man always makes me smile.
