Not used the BB but some of their other parts don't seem shit for the price.

Yeah that is of course an option. But I want to minimise the chances of any creaking, so looking to get one that threads together.
I fucking hate bb30 and any time I’ve used those types of cups they have always started to creak. -

Yeah it’s seems their other stuff isn’t completely terrible. Have found a couple threads with people saying they just changed the bearings in the bb and it’s been running well since.
The Ztto m1 hub set looks tempting. Basically a dt240 copy.

Anyone used these Ztto numbers?
Never used one of their DUB BBs. I did try one of their BB30 units. It lasted just under an hour's hard riding.

Thanks! Hadn't seen that one before. Can't find any UK stock but its on ebay dispatched from Taiwan for £110 and includes the required installation tool.

Oh shit :(
I was about to order the £26 one from amazon thinking that I'd at least have the shell to put better quality bearings in.

The BB30 unit I ordered didn't take standard BB30 bearings. It had some stupidly thin sealed bearings with ridiculously small ball bearings. The DUB units may be different.

We’re getting so close… that one on AliX is spot on, it even comes with the correct spacers I’ll need.
I’d seen it before but it can’t be delivered to the UK. Is there a trick to get round this on AliX?

Looks like I can take it to the checkout without an issue, London address

Hmm must be something up on my phone. I’ll check on the laptop
-
• #112690
Aye works fine on the laptop. Thanks for your patience with my poor googling skills!

That one doesn’t thread together. It’s all good though, have ordered both the AliX and the Amazon one.
Edit - looks like that token one you linked maybe does thread together. But it requires a tool that I don’t have!

Bit late to this but I've got this setup, Schwalbe G One 35mm tyres and SKS Bluemels. It all works fine but I found I needed to cut a little slot in the mudguard to allow enough room for the brake cable and its plastic concertina thing where it goes sideways between the two levers. Didn't seem to have any impact on the mudguard's functioning but helped the brake to return properly.

Thanks! I went for it anyway and they fit fine - thankfully no need for fettling!

What's the go to brand for non shimano replacement shimano chainrings?
(I like uberbike / superstar components for my cx 1x11 but they don't appear to do "normal" 2 x 11 shimano compatible rings) -

Les francaises, TA or Stronglight

I'm setting up this pelago rack to carry two small ortliebs. My fork currently has a threaded hole in the fork crown. Would I be safer drilling this out and putting a longer bolt through with a nut on the back of the fork crown.

Would I be safer
If the threads are in good condition and engage at least 5 turns, the benefit of using a through bolt will be very small. I'd worry more about that serrated washer not lying flat.
-
• #112699
Ok thanks tester. The bolt isn't fully done up hence the washer not being flat, test fit.

I would install with loctite. Could also add a locknut if there are enough threads.
I’m looking for a bb30 bottom bracket, the type that threads together and it’s for a dub axle
This ceramicspeed one ticks all the boxes except it’s £200 https://www.wiggle.co.uk/ceramicspeed-bb30-sram-dub-bottom-bracket
Praxis and wheels mfg don’t have a bb30 to dub bb which is a shame since they are much more reasonably priced.
Is there another reasonably priced alternative that’s well under £100?
I’ve found this ztto shanner on amazon for £26.
The bearings will no doubt be shite but I’m thinking I could at least press in better quality bearings down the line.
There must be something between the £200 Ceramicspeed rip off and the dubious £26 Ztto job?
Anyone used these Ztto numbers?
