I’m all for normalising cycling, but this is a bit above and beyond.

Someone I know, who's a midwife, cycled until she was nearly due, although I don't know if she cycled to hospital. I'm sure she knew what she was doing, being a midwife. It's undoubtedly very different for different women, though.

Marianne Vos just won her 8th Cyclocross World Championship (Fayetteville2022, Arkansas) having won her first in 2006. The last world title Vos held was CX in 2014. Mind blowing.

Thanks for that. Didn’t know it was on. 900 metres over the old record? Amazing. She looked absolutely perfect on the bike.

Aged 82, Gina Harris is the oldest woman to cycle LEJOG - she completed her attempt today after 28 days’ riding. Inspiring.
It’s done. I’ve finished. I’ll miss this road trip. I’ll update the blog a little later (and please don’t stop donating, if you can afford to!) https://t.co/xdRFL6CYtQ pic.twitter.com/inozsqVJFb

Got to ride with Lael Wilcox in Squamish today for approx 0.02% of her around the world journey. Here she is talking me through the delicate process of unpicking the chamois from her £250 Rapha bib shorts..
After 4 months riding +250km per day, she was still so stoked to be riding! What an inspiration. On the home stretch now about to cross the border into Washington.

Do you live there or did you go there specifically to accompany her?

I’m here for the summer (used to live here) and it was a coincidence. I was working, checked her dot not realising what her route was, and she was literally an hour from rolling through town.
