During the nursery run today I could hear a weird rattling sound every time I pedaled, freaked out thinking the mid drive was playing up but on closer inspection the rear mudguard was rubbing on the belt because it had sheared off from the bolt. Obviously relived that it wasn't the mid drive but I have no fucking clue how that happened, at least I've got plenty of cable ties.

If it’s not super old a fender breaking like that often is due to being under long term stress. When it was mounted did it have to be pushed or held in place?
-
• #9408
I bought the bike new and it was fitted when I picked it up in February, I've never even looked how it was mounted before now tbh.
-
• #9409
Now you have a chance to ensure that it’s mounted correctly : )

Anyone who is using the Hamax Caress seat, I heartily recommend the Hamax poncho. Covers the seat and the kid. I got soaked on the drop off this morning, mini_com was bone dry. The hood tends to blow off, but she had her raincoat hood up under her helmet. The poncho has elasticated feet too so no chance of the rest of it coming off.

You should get yourself a poncho too!

I am (only slightly) less likely to have a tantrum if I get rained on.

just placed an order for a benno boost from flying dutchman bikes.
tried out bikes there, london green cycles and fully charged. Highly recommend FDB, they've been great to deal with, we went there a couple of times and it never felt rushed or pressured; even though they're really busy.
aaaahahhaahhhhhhhhhhh!

Just had a punt on an Omnium for the first time. Feels just like riding a normal bike, especially coming from riding an Urban Arrow all week. Definitely see the appeal as an everyday bike!
