Much as I like McEwan, and think he's been a great, entertaining and astute addition to the commentating team, it's a crap joke to make. If Kelly had bought a towel and the joke had been about towel heads? After a while you just get sick of it. Apart from the other thing - gay sex isn't just anal sex.
But I bet he won't make the same mistake again.
