I had a rant at a lady yesterday which I sort of regret but oy, what a vapid lunatic. She was blithely wandering along, chatting on her phone, while her dog was straining on the lead, snarling and snapping at my 4yo next to it on his bike. I got in between and politely suggested she get it under control, to which she told me, 'oh, he's friendly, he's growling at the bicycle' and then started to tell whoever she was speaking to, that she couldn't believe someone was angry with her 'puppy.' Still polite but somewhat taken aback, we carried on up the pavement.
To my complete amazement, she followed us, with the dog still straining (this time in front of her) and snarling at my kid by which time he was pretty upset. At this point I said more firmly, stop following us and get your dog under control, it can't growl at children. She went of on a rant about how she lived in the neighborhood and was walking home and did we live in the neighborhood and how dare I tell her off about her dog! To which I called her a nut and said if it got any closer, I'd drop kick it into Sunset Blvd. By this point, we could turn off, so did.
Some people really don't deserve dogs.
