Was hoping that your DRZ had a helmet lock on the same key.

Tyre prices wholesale are going up. Partly brexit and partly lack of stock
-

No. I think I can just buy a new ignition barrel and key second hand and fit that.
I'll take the barrel to a locksmith round the corner first and see if he will cut one. -
• #21055
Cheaper to get a replacement barrel and keys. Getting a key cut to a barrel is probably more expensive, but finding someone to make the key for you.

£90 lighter and losing an afternoon, but my licence stays "clean"
(took the offer of a speed awareness course)
-
• #21057
Only £90?? Pretty sure mine cost £120
-
• #21058
I'll dial back my complaining then.
£90 for the re-education or £100 and 3 points.Think it is up to whomever is running the courses what they charge.

Did one a couple of weeks ago from the luxury of my armchair. The instructor managed to keep it lightweight.

Got it wet and it shrunk?

Well, short version is I’m living my life now before my body craps out (medical conditions, constant pain) and I’ll do a boring job all day every day once I physically can’t have fun any more. I lost out on opportunity to bike when I was younger so I have these finite years before I won’t be able to do it. Gotta make the most!
-
• #21065
I'm sorry to hear you have that coming down the road. Makes sense to ride bikes every day from that perspective. I hope you have as long as possible before you can't do it anymore.

Pani-grom-ale mod incoming?
-
• #21071
Instead of a superleggere it’s a superpiccola?
-
• #21072
It would be fun for all of about 5 minutes I suspect
-
• #21073
Nah. The guy at the mechanics has one and loves it. He got it for his wife and actually commandeered it for himself he loved it so much.
-
• #21074
(I think it was a reference to the actual pani-grom-ale that died a fiery death before it could be put through its paces)
-
• #21075
Aye, a regular one would be a hoot. I think I'd probably stop cycling though as commuting on it would be way too tempting
That's fucking mental. A couple years ago, that was Pirelli prices.
