No. I think I can just buy a new ignition barrel and key second hand and fit that.
I'll take the barrel to a locksmith round the corner first and see if he will cut one.

Cheaper to get a replacement barrel and keys. Getting a key cut to a barrel is probably more expensive, but finding someone to make the key for you.

Did one a couple of weeks ago from the luxury of my armchair. The instructor managed to keep it lightweight.

Got it wet and it shrunk?

Well, short version is I’m living my life now before my body craps out (medical conditions, constant pain) and I’ll do a boring job all day every day once I physically can’t have fun any more. I lost out on opportunity to bike when I was younger so I have these finite years before I won’t be able to do it. Gotta make the most!

I'm sorry to hear you have that coming down the road. Makes sense to ride bikes every day from that perspective. I hope you have as long as possible before you can't do it anymore.

Nah. The guy at the mechanics has one and loves it. He got it for his wife and actually commandeered it for himself he loved it so much.

(I think it was a reference to the actual pani-grom-ale that died a fiery death before it could be put through its paces)

Aye, a regular one would be a hoot. I think I'd probably stop cycling though as commuting on it would be way too tempting
