MVDP would've won that if some of his team had dropped back to get him back in the peloton after his mechanical.

Or if he hadn't attacked with 5km to go. Or if he had sat in the slipstream for longer once Girmay launched.

Though given that he is known for his unbelievable recovery, I think that he was purely out-dragged.
