Some dial text....almost Pelagos levels (4 lines as opposed to 5)

If you go around flashing that level of ££££££ that could happen anywhere… we have very good taste in E10, I bet the guys just threw it straight in the bin just to keep the Gail’sfication strong

Today's Scottish Watches podcast covers the watch theft topic with a couple of bobbies from the Met - https://www.scottishwatches.co.uk/2022/05/16/scottish-watches-podcast-361-watch-security-staying-safe-when-wearing-buying-and-selling/

This guy is local to me in Brighton and posted this a couple of months ago and when i sold my Santos to a local dealer a couple of weeks ago he said a friend of his had just been done that weekend by what must be the same women. So another type of threat to be aware of but at least no threat or violence involved. If they are still operating in the area i expect they'll be on the prowl now the weather is improving and town getting busier

I had a watch stolen a few years back. Got off the night bus a bit pissed, some bloke grabbed my hand and started shaking it. I assumed him or an accomplice would be going for my wallet or phone so shoved him away and walked off mentally congratulating myself that I still had them both. Then realised that my watch was missing.
It wasn't anything too expensive, a quartz Tissot. I was wearing a coat so it wasn't visible, must have just been trying their luck but they were very smooth.

Apparently these women are very smooth. Smartly dressed with Eastern European accents. The story i personally heard about was one woman showing the guy a restaurant on her phone asking for directions and the other one must have slipped it off whilst distracted. No stalling very slick professionals gone in 30-60 seconds and the victim didn't realise until a few minutes after. Unless your aware of this going on a consciously protecting your watch it really sounds like it could happen to anyone.

Grow big hands and wear a bracelet strap.
If you could get my daily off without me noticing then your name is Derren Brown and I will track you down.

This was on a not particularly easy to open bracelet. I'd guess Natos are probably the most awkward to get off when they're looped right over.
-
• #64538
Wow. They have skills!
Even with the bracelet fully open I have to squish my strangler grade hands through the loop.
-
• #64539
where are these straps from again please?

• #64540
This is cool

Massively cool.
Cartier doesn't get enough credit as a watch brand.
-
• #64542
Would be even better if they kept time well
-
• #64543
No mechanical watch keeps time well.

Likewise good luck to them getting my perlon strap off in a hurry, you have to unfold half the strap first.

t he aircraft was delayed five hours so that I would not miss my flight
– such are the benefits of a state-owned commercial airline in a
monarchy. I was embarrassed but preoccupied with the high of the
unbelievable experience.Terrible but incredible
