Although I am no way a Chelsea fan. Anything that endangers the existence of a club isn’t a win in my opinion.

depends on the club

Why don't they nationalise the club then sell it off? Surely there are legal means to cut out Abramovich?
I don't want to see Chelsea go bust.

It'll never be allowed to happen, it's just fun to think about.
-

I wonder in UEFA have engineered this whole Russia/Ukraine conflict just to inflict more misery on Chelsea and its fans?
-

A 21 point deduction to start the season, with no transfers in this summer (and a bit of a firesale of players) would make it quite interesting.

You never know; spuds might lose to Norwich but it does look like it's over.
Europa league is a lot of work too - will make it harder to get the 4th place trophy next year.

Mate, you're nothing without Rangers and vice versa. It's a tinpot league and your (& their) entire identity and competition revolves around the rivalry.

• #161285
Chelsea in the championship would make me happy.

EFL thanks - STH for West Brom, missing 6 home games in the last 12 years.
SPL is still a shit league without the old firm.

SPL is still a shit league without the old firm.
I reckon it'd be about a thousand times nicer without the old firm, though.
-
• #161291
Sure - it would just have all the quality and relevance of league 2.
No offence to league 2...
-
• #161292
Without the Old Firm, SPL is the Welsh league. With them, it's the Welsh league overlaid with the Troubles.

Klopp asked about booing of the national anthem: "I know our people wouldn't do it unless there's a reason for it."
hehe, class

Also Abramovic still trying to get his loan back, endangering the Chelsea sale. Best case scenario is that Putin refuses to allow Abramovic to accept any resolution that allows the money to go to their enemies (read: victims) and Chelsea cease to exist.
Appears to be no evidence for this assertion; indeed all the evidence is to the contrary.
The government's handling of sanctions has been as incompetent as everything else they have done. Much of what they are doing is in an attempt to show that they are taking robust action when in fact there handling of issues such as continuing to trade with Russia, accepting donations from Russians, failing to sanction Russian assets, screwing over refugees etc has been abysmal.
I know it suits those who fear that their teams cannot compete with Chelsea to dream of Chelsea's demise, but to buy all the crap that the ludicrous Culture Secretary and other ministers are throwing out does you no service whatsoever.

Well, that's what's being reported and, even if it's bullshit, it's still fun: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/may/16/chelsea-sale-in-danger-of-collapse-as-talks-over-roman-abramovich-loan-stall
I know it suits those who fear that their teams cannot compete with Chelsea to dream of Chelsea's demise
I thought your schtick was that Chelsea are a just a poor, callow side who are lucky to ever win a point?

😂 Gold!
-
• #161297
I dream of Chelsea's demise because their recent success was funded by a kleptocrat with close connections to a murderous dictator. And also because I'm a bit jealous.
-
• #161298
i dream of chelseas demise even though we can compete
-
• #161299
And by compete, you mean dominate, in league position and cup success....

Maybe next season.
