Keiran is a great character. Everything you expect from a lower tier player… definitely knows a kebab shop by first name but absolutely deadly in front of goal.

Are city about to relieve themselves all over some crisp clean sheets?

Nope

Fucking Spurs (and Leeds).
Lucky bastards

How is Alli doing at Everton?

I can report back they have one song. It's a depressing dirge though

So no penalty for this and in the ensuing break Branthwaite gets sent off. I give up with VAR. Sorenson should have had a second yellow too. Fair play to Brentford they absolutely went for us when we were down to 10 men.

I was baffled by them not giving a pen there too - didn't even talk about it much on the commentary. Way more of a pen than the one Spurs got earlier on (which was a clear pen under the rules, the rules are just shit).

I give up with VAR
Anyone who still thinks it's a good idea is unhinged, and anyone who thought it would be is a wild optimist.
I'll refrain from posting the Son elbowing Holding gif. What's the point.

VAR didn’t even look at it, I mean I thought that’s supposed to be the whole entire point of VAR. We were a spot kick away from being 2-0 up and then go down to 10 men with no fit senior centre halves on the bench (Godfrey and Mina injured, Keane sick). At least if we go down we won’t have to deal with this nonsense every week.

absolutely shocking decision. I think the worst refereeing decisions this season have certainly gone against Everton. I think you will stay up though.

VAR being introduced to the SPFL from (halfway through) (!) next season 😭
-
• #161241
It definitely looked at it, they showed it a few times.
VAR is replacing one person making a subjective decision with another person making a subjective decision. It was always going to be terrible.
They've also abandoned the clear and obvious error part for some reason.

Everton having some of the biggest cheats in the league playing for them probably doesn't help them get the benefit of the doubt.

your boys had some bad luck today as that Barnes hand ball isn't really what hand ball is menat to be about. said a lot that none of the spurs players were claiming for it.
who are saying are the big cheats in the Everton set up? Richarlison I imagine. Gordon? i genuinely can't think of that many Everton players who I would accuse of being big cheats.

Sanchez, who’d kicked the ball, appealed immediately.

Tomiyasus face...

Richarlison is terrible, even worse than Son. Goes down like a sack of spuds if anyone breathes on him, manages to get away with terrible fouls and tries to referee every match.

Statement veracity aside, do you really think that affected the VAR review of Rodri’s handball or this incident in which Richarlison definitely doesn’t fall on the floor trying to win a penalty? Because if you do then you’re basically calling the officials corrupt.

• #161248
Fair enough. I was working and had it on talksport in the van. They made out spurs weren't claiming

• #161249
Agreed. But you used the plural. Who else you putting in the frame?

Gordon obviously, Allan's pretty bad from what I remember. Don't Everton have half of the bookings for diving this season (admittedly that doesn't mean much given that 95% of dives are waved away or rewarded).
Well that was pretty dismal.
On the upside Cowdenbeath relegated.
