Surely this is more 19th hole chat?
It's quite common for British pensioners in their 60s/70s to employ retired French public servants in their 50s as guardiens. You provide a little house on your property and a small stipend in return for light gardening / housekeeping / swimming pool duties. Works well for both parties.

TBF that is classic golf club chat.
Even more than mocking people for not being business owners and taking a pack lunch to work.

If anyone has a little house and a small stipend they'd like to offer in return for some light swimming pool duties, please get in touch.

Dusted off my crazy expensive MBP
Am going to be travelling for a few weeks and this is the most disposable of all my computers so I don't mind if it takes a lot of knocks or gets lost/stolen.

I've had 3 deliveries this week and I can see the front door in my peripheral vision from my desk and each time i've only know they'd been because the video doorbell motion sensor triggered and turned on my hall lights.
