They don’t seem too much close to the crank arm than the Nukeproofs I have on a couple bikes.
Nukeproofs are sealed cartridge bearings, bmx ones won’t tend to be.

I've got some of the AK pedals, which I think are now the Seekers. Not massively close to the cranks arm but a solid bearing/bushing setup.

In my limited bmx experience as a yoot, bmx pedals are ace but usually considered disposable(as above they’re rarely sealed) so fine but maybe not for a super fancy build.
That said I use dmr v6 plastics on all my bikes and they’re fine.. -

The large bearings in V8s have generally outlasted tiny cartridge bearings in other bmx pedals I've had. They get rattly quite quickly though.
I’m considering buying some eclat bmx pedals for my surly steamroller. I’m
a bit overwhelmed by the choices. The newest model, the centric seems to off the list because they are very close to the crank arms. Which model do you recommend?
