Looks awesome. Used to visit Vancouver a bit so regretting not getting onto the north shore for some riding. Rode Whistler a couple of times though which was amazing.

Farmer John’s isn’t a big site and there’s no uplift but you have a fair chance of some pros being there and there’s great natural riding in the area too

Is it still compulsory full face? I think I had to give someone a fiver once as well?

If you are in Salisbury there is a trail centre in Longleat woods which isn’t far away.

Aston Hill
Still closed I think?

Not been (it’s close to my dad but looks beyond my skillset!)

John’s? Yeh full face mandatory and it’s a fiver I think for visitors- pay at the shop/ cafe or the farm house

Some great looking options there alright, I've been looking into Surrey Hills more as I kind of fancy having a go at what I'm guessing is considered forum approved local trails so where do we go to get the true LFGSS day at the trails experience?
Swinley? Peaslake?
Windhill and Longleat look super fun too but I'll be back working at this location again later in the year so I think I'll save those for next time...

Depending on when you're likely to be passing through the Peak District, I might be available to show you round some trails if you're interested?

Or indeed anyone else. Caveat: I may use the opportunity to practise my MTB leadership stuff on you.

I hope this involves a powerpoint presentation and risk assessment

2012?
There were a couple of us who used to organise group rides but the instigators have mostly moved on or ruined their lives with children and DIY

How do you normally get to Swinley?
-
• #23846
If anyone feels like joining in for a day on the bikes by all means come with! The more the merrier and it's always more fun with someone who knows their way about!

Normally train over to martins heron unless you know of a good off road route?
-
• #23848
If you need practice and want to meet near a train station in the middle somewhere, I'm up for a ride suitable for someone even more unfit than the last time you saw me.

If you can get somewhere close to Chertsey then you can do the Basingstoke Canal along to Deepcut then there’s a load of trails up through Deepcut and Tunnel Hill, keep heading north through the MOD driver testing area in Bagshot and you’re in Swinley.
It’s not the best route in the world but nearly all off-road and more enjoyable than the train. -

Looking to buy a dirt jumper so I can practice pumping and jumping on the local (dirt) pump track and jump line. Current shortlist is: Rose the Bruce, Cannondale Dave, or Commencal Absolut. Any tips on these bikes?
Aston Hill? Swinley?
