ah, I was working from the view of the sheds on the other side and decided this grassy slope was the only possible way down 😂 I must have gone right past those stairs carrying on home

Basin Road North is good access road from the eastern end. At western end, you link up with the footpath that takes you over the locks.

So, if you have the knobblies (ideally), it's a good alternative to Basin Road South. Especially if the locks are shut and you don't have the time to wait.

ohhh, i didn't know you could ride along Basin Road North beyond the Boundary Road junction. I generally get onto the seafront at Church Road so I've missed it by then but I'll loop back and try it out
