That's a bit big for my needs unfortunately...

Stock Langster wheels from the later iterations, how good or bad are they?
What are they worth new? -

Anyone in London with a Langster Pro that could lend me their seatpost for tomorrow? Mine's cracked and getting desperate as needed for a TT.

Picked up a 2011 Langster Pro frame for a good price. An unknown benefit was that it easily fits 28c tyres and as I use it on fire roads makes it perfect.

Anyone selling a complete Langster 58cm? I need a fixed city beater

Anyone know what type of bearings are in the rear wheel of a ~2006 Langster Polish?
Or, what hubs did they generally use that I might track down bearings?

Nice!
My first one did that too, it was fine until I washed it. -

What's happening here?

Aluminium oxide, I presume.

Does this bike live on your turbo trainer?

When mine did that it was after a really bad winter of salty roads and zero care and maintenance by me. I cleaned it up with wet and dry and sprayed the fork with plasticote, lasted a couple of years again with no care. As far as I know they are still alive with the new owner.

For some reason I thought these silver Langsters had carbon forks, hence my confusion. Had the older version with alloy forks and don't remember them being shaped like this either.
Oh well... -

So what you're saying is, it'll buff out?
-

It's not mine. It's my partner's. It has done ~15 years of commuting in all weathers and some audax so it has probably had a harder life than many Langsters. There's galvanic corrosion on the rack bolts and stuff at the back as well.

Yeah :)

When spesh said they were carbon forks what they meant was about 200mm of the leg is carbon. The rest is alloy and resins.

These are crabon forks. They aren't full carbon though - the carbon blades are likely bonded into an alu crown which is likewise bonded to a steel steerer.

Wondering if something like this will work as a replacement...

Head tube top is ~45.6mm and bottom ~46.5mm so I assume that's bog standard 1 1/8th and not some weird taper
There's some aliexpress fork options mentioned here:
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/259538/But I want something funky and locally available.

Bucklos? Not sure I'd be into buying some unknown crabon fork

I've got a carbon fork (pictured below) you can have for some beer. Collection e10

As this thread is back up I thought I’d let you know I rode my 2006(?) Langster to work yesterday.

Cheers. Are they actual Langster forks or something aftermarket? Sorry not too clear to me.
I'd rather reuse something than buy shitty new cheapies off ebay. Just need to work up the courage to travel that far east :D
Trade you for a 60cm pre-cursa?
