This counts, right?
Thought about selling it but couldn’t bring my self to do it. Repurposed as a jump bike instead.

What chain tensioner do you have on there?

Also, this clearly demonstrates that you need a slopestyle bike

SBONE Boner with this single speed kit for XD drivers. It’s left over from running my dh bike single speed.
The down side is that the xd single speed kit is only available in 13t or 14t, which makes it useless for anything other than gravity assisted riding.I’ll eventually get a Shimano freehub to run a 18/20t cog and try actual single speed trail riding again, maybe.

You’re not wrong.
I’ve been waiting for 7 speed axs since I seen this articleI tried to recreate the linked derailleur using a short cage from a 7 speed gx derailleur but they wouldn’t mesh. Turns out it’s a force 1 cage bolted on.
So…..I just so happen to have a spare rival axs mech and a 7 speed cassette and I don’t really have a whole lot to do tonight 👀
Anyway, this is all getting decidedly off topic.

really enjoying riding this right now. Gearing needs dropping thouh, 40/18 offroad is a bit tough.
whats the go to, 34/18? 36/18?
-
• #4448
52" is the classic SS gearing, though anywhere between 50-55" is a good place to start
Seeing as you have 26" wheels, you could try a 2:1 ratio, so 36/18, unless you're somewhere particularly hilly

Thank you wise one.

I used to rock 2:1 but I am finding it more difficult these days when it's steep climbs. Anything Epping you'd be fine tho
What’s more practical than your only 2 bikes both being SSMTBs?!
