Horrific. And it seems to open up challenges to anything not explicitly in the constitution also. The religious right will go nuts.

The Democrats must see this as a watershed moment where reform for the Supreme Court is now a must? Otherwise, it’ll be a further bonfire of human rights.

Reform of the SC has been a must even since before the Garland affair - Dems have done nothing while the Reps packed it with young partisan hacks dedicated to fighting their culture wars for them. Democracy is finished in the US, and well on its way out here.

Should have been. All we see is dragging of heels though. As it will be the case after this, I’m sure. If they're playing a long game, it's not obvious.
