At least you’re genuinely off road. Look at this road chode. Roughing it up to Epping. Such badass, many manly.

Maybe en-route? Tyres like those, who needs dirt anyway.

Just got back from a weekend away to a nice letter from the feds, intention to prosecute.
37 in a 30
Bottom of a massive hill, that if pushed I would say was a 40 anyway.
Reckon there was a speed limit change and I either missed it or had been speeding for a few miles on the same road. -

Re. Tail Pack
All sorted. Went back to the mega sale today and grabbed the very last 12L drybag backpack they had, plus extra hardcore bungees.
Wore it on my back with the spare gloves inside and if it weren’t for flapping excess straps I forgot I had it on.
Resisted the 20L due to temptation to fill with crap.
Gonna try lash this little one to the bike later.

Ugh damn. Sorry for your loss.
(Edit: I am anticipating something any day, I have been naughty constantly on that F3)

Not sure how many of my old LFGSS crew are still on here, but 11 years after it was last on the road, the might Beemer rumbles again...!

If offered, a speed awareness course might be worth considering - it used to be the same £cost as a fixed penalty fine but without the points and corresponding increase in insurance premium. I discovered this under similar circumstances, through a speed limit being moved on a road I thought I knew well.

Congrats on getting it back on the road.
Have a soft spot for these.

Good job. Don’t forget that if you fill it with beer, it will be noticeable.
Ride safe! -

TBF even if I didn't think I was speeding there, 2 minutes later I was gassing it on a near empty 3 lane A road, so "deserve" some comeuppance.

Hopefully I'll get the choice.

It's had a shit ton of work done on it, and wow, it felt sooooooo good.
Happy Poppy!

Yeah man they are all 50s

Lovely looking bike, nothing like a bank holiday to awaken the beast.
Had to get out before today's snooker coverage started. The lanes I've been riding for months seem to have turned from a dull brown to a lush green, and are busier too. Got my first (intentional) air today which was very satisfying, the 450L is so capable at speed it never gets into a sweat. Unlike me!

What have you decided regarding service intervals?
*considering that you’re not racing
-
• #20894
The service manual says change the oil every 600 miles but I'm doing it every 1000. This seems to be what most 450L owners are doing if they're not racing.

Edit. CSB

Ah sure. You’re happy at 1000? I guess I should do the DR’s oil some point.
-
• #20897
Ive seen lots of oil diagnosis at 1000 miles (not racing) and seems fine. The service intervals in the manual are the same as the 450R, and the L model is a lot tamer so personally no qualms increasing it slightly.

That's looking very clean. I'm guessing sometime around '79 going by the twin shock and snowflake wheels. I've posted a few pics on here previously of my ratty '79 80/7 which I've been riding and maintaining for nearly 20 years.
I have the conversion to brake master cylinder on the handlebars too.

Proper Bike Racing!!! Not sure of this will work but on BBC iPlayer look for regions and Northern Ireland. If you can find a programme called Bikes - you MUST watch it!!!
Cookstown is a tight circuit! -
