I've got some of those on an old bike. They work fine for their intended use so I'm sure they'd be fine as a basket mount. Quite sturdy.
They can be had much cheaper on AliExpress though (obviously you have to wait for it to arrive from China though). Think I paid about £2 each for mine. But it was a few years ago.

Nice!
I used noodles to stop the head cables on side exit brifters from fouling on a bar bag. Worked nicely! -

Broken Xenon shift lever for a friend of a friend, bit of paint and good as new.

An old, but still useful hack. Toothpaste tube tyre boot deployed against a very big tyre cut from a broken bottle this eve.

Trying to decide what’s more dry and cracked: your tyres or your fingers, lol!

Bit of folded copper for a light mount. Color matches the bell at the other end of the bike :)

Build thread over here but it's getting some tweaks this week: new saddle, pedals, bars, grips, tires and dyno wires. Done.
Edit: This was 24 gauge (~.5mm) copper. It'll hold the shape but still very easy to work with cheapo tools (snips, pliers, file, sandpaper - bend it over the back edge of a heavy knife then press). Could have gone a little heavier gauge but this will be fine.

They look like the shitty screws you get with light fixings etc. Probably just about the only job they are good for. Excellent bodging.

The bike is back in for a respray so I nabbed a couple of pics.

Also, not sure it counts as a bodge but don't quite like the front of your MTB and have a bad back so need all the height? Cut the front off and stick a new one on

That's got to be a 'get you home', not a permanent fix! Excellent bodge though
I reckon a cheap v-brake booster would work for that. As a replacement for the Dia Compe keirin brake platform.
