Blue alkanet?

That's it.
Such a great filler at this time of year when you're sort of in between things going and coming.
The only thing I worry about is that there are a couple of things it obscures at what feels like a crucial time in their development. But on balance I don't really care that much.
It's also taken over in the veg patch - which I think I'll sack off this year

Hell yeah, gonna follow no mow May with no mow June and fuck this stupid lawn August

I didn’t mow my lawn once last year. It was so poor it didn’t even get overgrown. Since I’ve laid the new lawn 6 weeks ago I’ve mown it once and now need to mow it again on a lower height.

Mowed my dad's lawn a couple of weeks ago - first cut of the year. I don't have a lawn (it's all beds and randomness) and honestly it just felt so violent, in a way I wasn't expecting. I felt sad about chopping the non-grass things that had found their way (left a few patches with primroses or cyclamen in) and at one point a frog had a narrow escape.

My lawn mower needs a new throttle cable so by default I won’t be mowing my lawn

No mow may sounds good. Saves me the faff of doing it, save using the expensive electric, and good for the plants/animals.

I mowed a couple of weeks ago and the robin is loving easy worm access

In an ideal world every household would let their garden grow wild all year round but that’s never going to happen.

I want a goat instead of a mower.

It's cruel to keep one on its own. You'd need at least two.
-
• #8389
You probably need a fence upgrade, I know I would.
-

Didn't I already say two?
"Goat" surely means "pair of goats - pygmy ones, because obvs".
-
• #8391
My ideal garden would have a few pygmy goats, a pair of Dexters, and a few pigs. And a bunch of chickens.
Obviously I couldn't then have any actual plants, beyond anything completely inedible.

How do I stop my dog eating the blood fish and bone I’ve put down. He’s obsessed
-
• #8393
i used blood, fish and bone and what happened was foxes destroyed the garden. i guess dog will be the same as fox in this respect.
only solution was not to use it again.

Added a section of creeping thyme to our lawn last year it’s nice as it leads to some some nice texture. Might go full patch lawn this year. Really notice a up shift in bugs etc

Like the look of that, might plant some
In fairness I have a fuck tonne of those giant forgetmenot looking things with the vicious leaves. The bees can't get enough of those.
Also my veg patch has been left to wild.
