Ughh, I shouldn't have checked that video, it ruined my morning. So many Putin lovers there, especially from (seemingly) developing nations. It seems all those Russian troll farms are doing quite a good job forming opinions and getting people excited for a new world order where US isn't relevant.

The mic grip and gesticulation is steady though.
What gives me hope is that Putin will die sooner than most of us here (assuming we're all young here).

What's the reason for insisting on Roubles for payment? Is it to keep demand for the currency high?

Yes.

Presume I have something you'd very much like to buy from me. I can add a layer to the transaction where you can only pay for it using my special monopoly money. I have now created a demand not only for my desirable product, but also for my otherwise useless bits of paper.

In the case of Russia this increased demand for their currency helps all the other holders of that currency too. Their money will now go that little bit further when they need to go shopping from neutral countries like China.

On the Putin health rumors-he has a cushingoid(ish) face- suggesting high dose steroids therefore possibly cancer>PD. But who knows.

There was another Russian video on twitter yesterday.
