Much as I love Jason Lyle and Grandaddy, this just didn’t appeal to me for some reason. Probably just a big too big a venue for me. The last time I saw Jason was at Bush Hall about three years ago, just him and a piano & guitar. It was just about perfect, and if that’s the last time I’ll hear those songs then I don’t think I could have asked for better.
Grandaddy were amazing last night, but - an opportunity to see what is widely rated as one of the greatest albums of the 90s, with an orchestra, in a great venue (Palladium), by a band who haven't toured in ages - there were a lot of empty seats.
@general_greyharbour - glws, family means I can't take those off your hands, but have had a few brilliant weekends at Primavera.
