• I would say to check what car seats fit in. Some of the small people movers will take 3 car seats in the back row, some won't.

We have a very boring Touran for this reason. Although it has a 1.4 petrol TSI engine, which is excellent and great for town miles.

  • 11yr old doesn’t need a seat any more, but it’d be tight between a child seat and baby seat. He’ll usually just go in the front seat when all 3 kids are in, but with the c-max’s pop up seats in the back, it gives extra options if there’s 2 adults in the car.

As I say, no idea what she’ll actually want, but if she test drives a cmax and wants something bigger, we can look at tourans etc. but I think that having something too big for a run around would be a PITA.
    Who knows.

  • Fair enough.

We went with the Touran as they are actually quite short and compact, rarely use the very back seats, but handy to have once in a while. It’s definitely shorter than an estate, and surprisingly okay to drive too.
