๐๐๐ I used to have a toy side car model like the ones in the vid. Life was simpler then.

Did you see the video of John Noakes and cleaning Nelsons Column?

Saw that before. H and S wasnโt a thing then ๐๐ As I said, heโs a legend! There is a vid of him on a motocross/trials bike - I think on the IoM - he falls off a bit and his instructor is a guy who did a lay of the IoM circuit on the back wheel. His name escapes me now.

That would be Dave Taylor MBE, the Wheelie King!

I donโt know if you can get them in the UK but there is a Japanese brand called Vessel that make regular looking JIS screwdrivers that are quarter turn impact if you whack them. They are genius! Not expensive either given the quality.
In other news, I finally got to run in my little Cr85R engined kart bike after the gearbox shat itself. I was super wary as both clusters were assembled from a mish mash of parts, including a swapped ratio but it seemed to work perfectly. Smoother and faster than before too. Win!!

Thatโs him. I think I saw him on the IoM some years ago. Impressive

Oh man. I had sweaty palms just watching him up the ladder. By the time he lowers himself on the seat I think even the soles of my feet were getting moist!

Really disappointed in the MT09 owner I came across on the way home today. I kept losing them in the corners. Spent more time slowing down and waiting for them than I did accelerating.
Also, disappointed they had trainers on.

No, you can't get them in the UK, easily. Not even sure there is a UK importer.
You can buy a vessel screwdriver via Toyota. Was about ยฃ8! Machine mart did a JIS set for a bit but stopped making it now.

I remember when I first saw the John Noakes footage going up Nelsonโs column thinking, who do you think you are Fred Dibnah? His programs were legendary, he was either climbing chimneys, blowing up power stations, demolishing tower blocks or driving traction engines.

• #20719
Fred Dibnahโs TV series was on bbc2 recently. Worth a watch.
Back to bikes? Like Mr Rea in Holland!!! ๐๐๐๐๐

Rea is a proper legend. Amazing rider.

• #20721
Almost as amazing as John Noakes!! ๐

Not usually an UK or EU supplier last time I looked. Hence the mention of the toyota vessel screwdriver and then the machine mart
-
• #20723
I should have grabbed the ones I saw in a charity shop (brand new) for ยฃ4.
Might go Halfords Advanced or the Hilka off crapazon.
-
• #20724
Halfords didn't do a JIS last time I looked.
Try your local machine mart for left over stock. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/jis-pound-thru-screwdrivers-3-pieces/
EDIT: Looked again and sealy are sold by halfords but cheaper from FFX https://ffx.co.uk/product/Get/Sealey-Ak4314-5054511683615-Jis-Screwdriver-Set-4Pc
