On the subject of rings, some friends of ours are moving to Malaysia for work for a couple of years. They're an unmarried couple with two kids. They've been together for 15 years. Part of the conditions of the (amazing) job offer they received was that they had to get married and had to wear rings while in Malaysia. Probably one of the weirdest employment contract conditions I've ever seen!
