    Why have a profile piece for a company that '..remains private and has never raised outside capital'.

    I'm more than overjoyed they have strong growth and employ more people, but I don't understand what this piece achieves other than massage ego?

  • Better spent by sponsoring this lovely forum, or by giving 100 new T-lines to this or other Brompton community groups- that way they would get real beta test customer feedback.

    imagine you have just escaped zone 4 semi for a fully detached 6 bed in Somerset and only come in the city for meetings etc, great target audience

    Is there anything in particular I need to do with it? I'm thinking particularly of the SA hub (3 speed), I've no idea how hub gears work.

    The hub shouldn't need anything doing to it. They go on for decades with little or no maintenance. Oil the chain, check everything that should move moves, and that should be enough.

  • Just get your tyres pumped up, check for cracks in the rubber, make sure your brakes and gears work and the cables haven’t rusted. Otherwise just a once over check, touch of lube here and there

  • My old bike. Nice to see it getting some use (what's left of it). I enjoyed the video too.

  • Anyone got a spare chainset? Could do with 2 really, ideally one silver one black any chainring size but again ideally 54t black 50t silver

  • Three days in and loving the brom commute lyfe. C Type utility is chefs kiss but there are things to think about…
    Hand comfort - stock grips are not super Cush
    Bigger easy wheels -
    Lights for winter - front mount and maybe saddle mount
    Gearing - two small sections of my route have me out of the saddle grinding in 1 - the Finchley rd turnoff up to Belsize lane and pond street on the way home - smaller chainring or bigger rear sprocket. Or both ?
    Luggage to ditch backpack but don’t want to look like a city boi bell piece with a briefcase.
    It’s a teensy bit rattly- I guess just normal. ESP with lots pressure in tyres.

  • Kuosac bars with ergonomic grips, Kuosac or SON easy wheels or the Brompton eazy ones
    Dynamo or battery?

    I have a Kuosac delivery in bound shortly, can supply all of the above as per usual ;)

    Got an older bag you can have cheap…

  • My carrier block is pretty loose now while being all torqued up correctly. Always had a bit of play from new but now not really useable

    Do the fancy looking metal aftermarket ones have this same issue or better off shimming out what I have and finding some longer bolts?

  • Explain more? How can it be loose if it’s tightened?

  • It's as if the original bolts it came with are too long. Feel like they bottom out before the block is fully snug or something

    There was always a very slight amount of play even when tightened up as much as possible. I guess with use that play has got bigger with the plastic wearing away?

  • Yep, got the metal plate crica 3mm thick and the shakeproof washers it came with
