Any suggestions for websites or what have you with guides to walking trails around Epping Forest. I've not been there much but whenever I have I feel like I've missed large parts of it. I've searched but not really come across much useful. Cheers

No, but it's possible follow any of the Badger's routes on foot.

La Coupole in St Omer (near Dunkirk) is good, although probably wasted on the kids.

Due to stupidity I managed to bend the little pip on the seatstay that you can hang your chain on while the back wheel's off. The braze holding it in cracked and I've managed to pull the whole thing out. The pip is actually a pin that was brazed into a hole in the seatstay and seems long enough to butt up against the outer face of the seatstay (imagine the top 15mm of a broad-headed nail). The frame in question is a vintage (80s) steel frame, although I think the seatstays are nothing particularly special in terms of steel.
Questions: does it need refitting (I can't imagine it's structural, but I'd prefer there not to be a hole) and is there a way of refitting it that's strong and stable, but not brazing/welding?

Probably doesn't need refitting, but JB Weld or Araldite would probably hold it in place well enough to continue being used as a chain pip.
My AQA - why do I read so many classified ads for things I don't need/want? Less disheartening than reading the news I suppose

You could try tapping the hole, and then put in a bolt which butts up against the inside of the tube opposite the hole, using thread locker.

I thought you were after heavy duty? That link takes you to a zinc alloy unit, not the toughest thing out there.

Hmm. The search continues.
Edit:
Just need this in ~40mm

Water ionisers - are they nonsense?
My in-laws, who love a bit of alternative nonsense, are after getting a water ioniser. Are they snake oil, or are they legitimately better than other normal water filters? The ionisers are a serious wedge of cash so I’m keen to try and dissuade them if they’re bollocks!

i thought reverse osmosis water filters were the pinnacle of pure living nonsense? my mother in law had one of those.

Hmmm:
Where the Alkaviva Vesta H2 Water Ionizer has really changed the Ionizer market is its ability to generate remarkable Molecular Hydrogen (H2) levels at drinking water levels of pH 8 to pH 9. Molecular Hydrogen has been scientifically shown to be the most powerful antioxidant known to man with its health benefits detailed in over 600 Medical and Scientific studies to date. The Alkaviva Vesta H2 is an upgrade of award winning Vesta GL Ionizer and has been redesigned with Hydrogen Infusion Technology making it the market leader in Molecular Hydrogen (H2) production.

Yes

Tell the fuckers to just drink more tap water rather than expensive slightly different tap water, quantity not (bullshit) quality.

ability to generate remarkable Molecular Hydrogen (H2) levels at drinking water levels of pH 8 to pH 9
The solubility of H2 in pure water (pH=7) at 0°C and 1 bar is <2mg/kg, rather less as the pH increases
The recommended limits of pH for drinking water are 7.5±1
does anyone have a magura quick release bolt going spare? Maybe bought a multipack and has a couple left over? ta!
