Why have you done this? All you appear to have done is lose one hand position.
What is the advantage you have gained?

Yeah, fair point. I never, ever use the drops, and I only ever use a few gears, so getting rid of things I don't use. Also, I find this gives me more reassurance braking. Lastly, and most truthfully, I like the way it looks, and I'm a bit bored!

Metrea shifters come to mind if you ever want a more integrated solution, where you wouldn't have to give up the brakes when shifting.
edit : nevermind it seems to be hydraulic brakes only.

That look much better and you end up with both hands in control off the bike.

Having used a similar bodge, with trigger shifter on drop bars, I fail to see the problem.
It's hard any worse than using bar-end or down tube shifters.I agree it looks good and I appreciate the attention to function that this build displays.
I wouldn't mind a setup like this myself.
So, with the help of many people on here providing part and lending me tools, my first (very mild) foray into bike customisation resulted in this (pics attached hopefully).
I did a ton of searching about how to have a shifter with bullhorns and keep it "neat", and this is the best I could come up with. It's a 1x9, using an old SRAM x9 trigger shifter bodged to the bullhorns. I'd love to get it closer into the centre, but the underside of the stem fouls it. I may start filing away bits of the stem clamp - what could possibly go wrong??!
Slightly wondering what anyone thinks, but mostly to say thanks to the forum for much assistance!
