Your old disc one is now going spare...

Looks like the shock has collapsed on that one?
Would put money on existing owner not knowing where the Schrader valve is to put air in it.
It's probably fucked, too though.

54?
-
• #15207
Alas, 56
-
• #15208
Goddamnit. I’m beginning to think there’s no 54 anywhere.

That bike has been for sale for ages, until recently it was up for 750 I think, shame about all those worms under the paint. My 2001 is oil and coil not air, I'd say this one is the same, same fork, can't think why that shock is so collapsed though compared to mine, must have lost the oil??

I was 30 quid off the winning bid for a caad 12 in a 52.
I'm still sad.

Anyone know how I can fit a Wahoo Elemnt to a KNOT handlebar for a systemsix? The ones that are listed on all the big sites are expecting stock in 2023 (!) and seem to fit Garmin only.

- the bike should have come with a garmin out front mount.
Or
https://www.racewaredirect.co/shop/wahoo-bolt-integrated-mount-for-systemsix-knot-bars/I really need a narrower set of bars. The shipping times are bonkers.

Thank you, I was fortunate to buy the bars/stem just before the lead-times on all bike parts went crazy. They've been sat in the shed for months and I am getting round to the idea of fitting them. I saw the Raceware one (your second link) but I don't think that will fit the original Wahoo Elemnt, only the Bolt or Bolt v2?
cheers

Racewear stuff is all 3d printed pretty much to order. I’d drop them an email and I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem, they already have a solution, it’ll just need a slightly different top puck.
-
• #15216
Yes as Jameo says- 3d printed to order.
If you have a 40cm bar, I would almost kill you for it.
Might need a longer stem too. And why aren't there aero bars for the fucking thing? -
• #15217
I contacted Racewear and it seems that they can get it done, thanks for the heads-up.
I have a 38cm bar gathering dust. Looking forward to getting it in place! Also been riding the bike for the last year with about 5cm of steerer poking above the stem, should be much neater.

Has anyone ever ridden one of the older canti/V-brake CAADX/CX9 models in road bike trim? Just wandering how they might compare to my CAAD9 with matching tyres/finishing kit.
I have little use for a road bike atm so the added tyre clearance and stack are looking quite appealing. Handling aside also not sure if a 12 year old ali CX frame is a good idea given what it may have been through.

I built my old caadx up as a winter road bike this year. Basically just threw 28mm tyres and mudguards on and slammed stem. I enjoyed it for about two rides, then hated it as it just felt like a really slow sloppy road bike. In the end I took the mudguards off and put my 37mm gravelkings back on and I love it again.
Excuse quick bad pic minus cassette…

That's ace. Both models only 1 degree slacker then my 9 but the high BB and longer wheelbase obviously have a big knock on effect to handling. Standover could be an issue for me.
-
• #15221
Yeah, it won’t feel like your 9 unfortunately.
If you want to come try it out or borrow it for a bit you’d be welcome.

35s on the synapse = gravel?

I have an irrational hatred of mavic wheels but that pops.

That frame is such a hidden gem. Love the organic lines.
