  • In the process of putting the Cyclo Ace on. Lbs has removed stubborn SS freewheel and put one the regina extra three speeds. Got black tape too and found links I've removed from the chain to have it fixed/SS, so hopefully tonight I'm gonna complete it

  • You could use some cable bands.
I know of some 2017 fresh versions :)

  • I have them, issue is that they were thought for a single cable and also my tubes are quite oversized! Check the picture where it shows the downtube shifter, I didn't have a longer screw so had to use (temporarily) a zipper.
I would have assumed the one that came with the group would fit it...

I was able to wrap one cable towards the far end of the seatstay quite easily, but then tried to use a second one more towards the BB shell and the tube was simply too thick.
Also tried the bigger bands on the downtube, still, the tubes looked too thick and I had real trouble in wrapping them, so switched to self amalgamating tape.

  • Would be nice to have some Rosa cable clip :)

    Nooooo missed them!!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-3-CYCLO-chrome-brake-cable-frame-clips-British-Made-vintage-road-bike-/292177523442?

well there are more, but expensive and were however for 1 cable only. Still neater.

  • Looks great!

  • Thanks! you'll see it soon in the flesh

  • The Cyclo Ace is on!

  • love to see a video of that Cyclo Ace in action!

  • You'll have it then :)

  • First ride on the Cyclo Ace, success. Little bit of tweaking, as usual for a first ride.

Went to some friends housewarming party in Chiswick and back deep at night.

I, of course, loved it. Very smooth, bit noisy, feels overall more efficient than mother bikes, went uphill back to my place with very little effort.

I feel I could remove one (or two) more links from the chain...

  • Wonderful, Would love to one day own a bike with Cyclo Ace.

  • It's a nice piece of kit. Was looking for an Osgear Super Champion but hard to find and more expensive. Found this one instead in great nick and it looks ace (pun intended)

  • Anyone interested in this bike before I put it up for sale on the Classifieds?

  • Shame it has to go. Good luck with sale
