  • I can't drink plain milk (just don't like the taste on its own) so used to use choc milk as a recovery drink.

    But the excessive sugary calories were beginning to concern me, and I was coming up with more and more excuses for drinking it (was up to ~4L a week and not enough exercise to warrant it) so I knocked it on the head completely and just switched to having corn flakes with semi-skimmed milk for recovery. Similar protein intake but fewer sugary calories.

    I used to get sniffles all the time after exercise and swore the protein hit within 45 minutes (ideally 20 minutes) was helping, but since Corona I guess I'm mingling less and picking up fewer bugs so I've been less affected.
