This means the Riv's going spare, right... ;)
This means I should have spent the day building up some of the frames I've aquired over the winter, not sitting on my arse reading all day.

Fair! I'll just keep chipping away.

Hydro is a sin. Cable brakes are where the light is...maybe.

What's that fd mount adaptor?

• #129683
It's carbon. Parlee if you're feeling flush, Exotic if not.

My son has outgrown his 2nd ‘adult’ sized bike so now is onto his third
Picked up this orange off here a little while ago and everything pretty much transferred straight over to it so nice and simple.
Rides really nice. I wish it were mine hah.
Pondering a solution to rear dynamo light mount. I’ve got a B&M mini (topline?) light, the one that mounts to a rack. But he doesn’t want a rack or anything of the sort on this bike.

Zip-tie it to the seat post?

One of these little dudes? https://fairlightcycles.com/product/dynamo-rear-light-mount-drive-side-retail-stock/

I’ve seen those and quite like them but my only misgivings are they are quite low and hold the light vertically (which I think impairs the side visibility somewhat..?). Also feels a little exposed I reckon he could break it resting his bike up against something.
I was thinking of getting this
https://www.orrobikes.com/shop/orro-seat-clamp-with-light-31-8mm
(edit, actually I don't know if that orro built in light is removable)
Mounting a flat bar to the hole (countersunk screw so it’s flush) drilling 2x holes at the correct spacing and going with that.
Or adapting a moon clamp I have that attaches to the saddle rails.

I have been looking at carbon variants to replace the standard shimano one, but Parlee pricing has kept me off. Looks nice though...

Yeah it was still like £25 and they're difficult to find in 31.8. most of the ones online are 34.9 but you can find it with some digging.
It has exotic branding on but at some point I'll sand it off and clear coat it again -

I left Sram behind as soon as I had a taste of di2.
I'll probably look at rival AXS for the gravel rig tho
