Very reluctant sale of my Cervelo Aspero (2020 model year) in what is officially known as Olive, but looks more gold to me! I bought this in November last year and only realised when I got it home (and went to upgrade to a carbon seatpost) that the seatpost was stuck (the guy I bought it from swears he didn't know?!). I then spent the next six months trying to make it fit! I did have a couple of goes to free the seatpost with WD40 and then freezing it, but didn't want to do anything too drastic and risk buggering up the frame.
As a result I have only used it for a few short commutes to work and a couple of longer rides. It is in really nice condition, which makes the stuck seatpost all the more annoying/puzzling. It originally had a full Apex 1 groupset, but I upgraded this to a carbon Force 1 crankset with an Absolute Black Oval 40t chainring (also have a spider with 44t chainring as well). Basic specs as follows:
It is a size 56 (geometry available on the Cervelo website - https://www.cervelo.com/en/aspero) and I am 5'10 & 1/4" (with 32" ish inside leg). It is just a touch too big for me with the seatpost stuck where it is, so would probably suit 5'11" to 6' as it is and I can take any necessary measurements (or you could have a go at the seatpost with a little more vigour/ingenuity!).
Not sure what to ask really, but this retailed at £2,700 new and I would probably be asking for half of that if I was selling it without the seatpost issue. Would half again (i.e. 25% of the new price - £675) be reasonable or too much/not enough? If I can;t get that then perhaps I should split it and hang the frame on the wall (but would rather sell complete).
Pick up from Clapham (SW4 - near Clapham Common tube) evening and weekends). Any q's just let me know.
