yeah must be, unless they have the forks produced at a range of steerer lengths but that seems like a faff. The hole seems bigger than necessary tho

it does seem large but i imagine it allows some spare length of cable to prevent snagging if the bars overotate

I figured it was so the hose could enter the steerer from inside the stem and then exit the steerer under the headset bearing out of the same hole.
It's a milled slot in the fork -

to mill a hole, insert/glue a precut reinforced carbon sleeve, is that really unsustainably time-consuming for them ?

it's pretty smart, i am almost sure an lfgss group order of carbon inserts + columbus forks could be conceivable

That top insert is what doesn't make sense to me. With a Chris King top cap on it, the stem top pinch bolt must be pinching air right?

Did it again :)
My latest project has internal hydraulic lines through the drop bars, stem, steerer tube, fork, down tube, BB shell and chainstay. Also routed the di2 wires through the chainstay, but that's easy with the new DA 12s. Here are some pics again:
Drilled/Dremeled a stem exit for 2 hydraulic lines.
Drilled an entry into the steerer, had to pull the hose through the headset in this awful bend...
Made an aluminium insert for the top of the steerer for mounting the top cap and allowing the hoses to route towards the stem and epoxied it in place.
Mounted the stem and pulled the hoses through.
Routed the hoses through the bars and installed decouplers underneath the tops for when I have to remove the bars.
And this is the end result :) -

What's your take on them? Do you like them?
How durable/puncture prone have they been?
I couldn't find a lot of (any) info/real world experience about them.PS: bike looks really good also!

Those tyres feel really fast and grippy. But my rear tyre hasn't kept air for more than 3 days, both tubed and tubeless... So no not really durable/puncture proof.
I'm thinking of replacing them with Challenge Stradas or something similar, but these just look so good and are incredibly light.

@swedeee, yeah great. Easy to decouple. A bit finicky to couple again, but if you get used to them they're fine. And zero leaks. I do recommend them and I'm planning on using them in all my builds.

Which quick couplers did you use? I looked into this briefly, but could not find any before I booked my build.
That's exactly what I did. The crown is hollow from the factory, giving me all the room to get the brake hose through there.
@Kimmo I don't have any pictures of it, but I brazed in some reinforcements on the inside. The reason I went this route is because of the 34-44 tapered steerer which lacks the room for "normal" holes in a steerer.
