Yeah. When using full fenders horizontal dropouts made using removing the wheel a faff. When putting the wheel back insuring you had the right position relative to the rear mech also caused a few issues. Nothing insurmountable but when it's 530am on a rainy canal she wanted a few levels of less faff.

I bought the Surly Monkey Nuts V2, to make it easier to align the wheel. And then conceded that I'd have to loosen the rear mudguard to fix punctures. Knock on wood the Conti GP urbans has hold up admirably since I set it up.

Also considering GP Urbans to replace over 800g Schwalbes for friend's Temple (first one, GF's Mercier second) which also has similar annoying dropouts as Omnium. Would you recommend them?

anyone with horizontal dropouts and wants mudguards should get a set of SKS and an extra set of the secu clips for the rear - you can just pop the mudguard out with a sharp tug, replace the wheel and pop them back in no drama

Definitely would recommend!
I came from Vittoria Randoneurs and have only suffered a single pinch flat, that was 100p down to running to low pressure. -

Another vote for the ‘Dawes street motion’ - metallic green, nettin couch, blb bars, Altus with cantis and mandatory wald… since got new sks and delta cruisers = gf bike that I want to take for food shops!

You don't need to remove the wheel to fix a puncture. Slip tyre off, find hole, apply patch, reseat tyre.

Love a step through. This is my pop down the village shop roller. It's seen better days, was a skip save from a neighbour a few years back. It is insanely comfortable to ride.
Chain not normally that rusty... But it lives outside.

Finally managed to build this up for my girlfriend, mostly from parts accumulated from the many fine folk on here. Got a much nicer set of wheels, but with black spokes that just don't look quite right. They're half the weight though so might switch them soon anyway. A small black wald to come too.
Brought it over to her here in Sweden. Not too many Neil's round these parts...

Just snagged this Konsul step T for cheap and put my hipster shit all over it… Its very comfy so far and makes a nice change - worth it for just the kick stand! **** Step through love growing
