  • although looking at the cbr600 on the last couple of pages, quite tempted just to get another early 2000's cbr600fx or 1st gen Fuel Injected model CBR FI , had one of each model and they were really great bikes quick enough if hustled and could do 400 miles a day without killing your back legs neck too much, i'll be trying to keep pace with my mate on modern BMW GS1200 in the future who's been riding for 30+ year so not sure how fast i'll need to be !

  • If getting an FI the fueling is poor and benefit from a dyno mapping session.

    Ok my advice on group ride touring is go at your own pace, do not feel that you have to keep up. Make sure you are hydrated and keep concentration up. Also occasionally slow down and look at the scenery.

  • Good advice ESPECIALLY ‘do not feel you have to keep up’. I’ve seen the bad side of this and no one wants to be a witness to that.
