  • I treated myself to dawn at Otmoor today. I heard bitterns and grasshopper warblers for the first time, and enjoyed the almost constant calling of curlews and lapwings, and display flights of lapwings and snipe.
    Here is (I think) chiffchaff, grey herons, a winnowing snipe, blackcap and reed buntings and one of the cuckoos that were flying around.

  • That drumming snipe photo is amazing. The others are good too, but that’s a beaut.
