@pdlouche - Leave the bars alone, they're comfy bikes. It's 20+ years since I rode one but I definitely don't recall them needing a steering damper either, so maybe save your cash for a nice Nitron rear shock and a fork rebuild.

But I found the 2000 bike really good and still one that wanted me to break every speed limit.

Yeah proper capable, but so are other more exciting bikes. They’re considered a bit…nodder here now.
I’m sure they’re we’ll rapid, but from what a few people ive talked to said, it’s a bit of a no mans land bike. Toned down grunt and none of the protection of a gsxr.
