Seems preferable to negotiating the river of rubbish and distracted / phone-absorbed peds crowding bus stops in this setup.
Where this system has been implemented on King Street in Hammersmith, the bus lane has disappeared entirely, meaning that the bus now crawls at <5 mph in the general traffic lane rather than doing 10 mph behind cyclists.
I don't mind a shared bus lane but you can understand why lots of people aren't keen at rolling along at 10mph with a bus up their arse.
