MDM doesn't encrypt your phone, especially for byod type policies.

Erm yeah it does if you're using company portal to push enterprise apps

Edit. Depending on compliance policy, so I'll give you that. It's just I've never known an organisation not implement require encryption when password is required to unlock the device
