The idea of 30-46 middleburn cranks is very present, pondering wether to go all silver, black arm and silver spider/ rings (the Oddo) or the inverse (the Hulsroy).
Do it! It’s a great ratio. I got a 46/30 x 11-34 on my randonneur and it’s fast on the road but also handles off-road climbs.
Also my vote is for “the Hulsroy”. I like my bike but I only went for “the Oddo” because I already hat the crank arms.Beautiful pictures by the way. I hope you have a smashing time!

Hmmm 2/2 (@jontea) influencers prefer silver on black, food for thought. Shame they never come up second hand in 165mm, will have to be new.
And thanks - staying with my in laws so should get out for a few more rides. We are looking at moving out here next year so good to soak up a bit of the scenery
@Belagerent yep 650x47 I’m actually thinking of a set of 700s as well for pure road use, the grass is always greener
So I’m feeling very into this bike
I don’t know if it’s just that it’s my first ride in 4 months that wasn’t a commute, that we’re over in Ireland with family, or the light today or what, but i felt great today and I loved my bike.
