Yes. But it's satisfying to bond with something by working on it. And after the apocalypse we won't be able to afford to waste track frames. It's time to learn how to mend and make do.
Having said all that, I've taken a dislike to the bike I made myself. Made the frame on Dave Yates' course, made the wheels at home, ever so slowly. It's all so heavy. I scorn it. Whereas I'm deeply in love with my third hand carbon Parlee.
