This talk of Catford makes me nostalgic - whenever there was a dusting of snow we would take the kids round to Blythe Hill Fields for sledging and snowball fights, our eldest went to Irish dancing classes opposite the plumbers merchant in Davenport Road and the old ABC cinema saw us have to extract tearful infants from the Jungle Book film (where the manager insisted on refunding our tickets). Is the gun shop still there near the pizzeria?
