I understood this as soon as I test rode the electric brompton. It looked and felt like someone has designed and built it in their shed and they had/have the gall to ask £3.5k for it.
Brompton design is mostly shit. It kind of works. Its niche and unique and thats why people like it. Their ethos is too rigid and the CEO has Steve Jobs syndrome.
