Interesting to hear the new DR woes.
Glad to be holding off on looking at these as possible future purchases and perhaps looking at the aftermarket solutions for the legacy frames instead.

Don't get me wrong, the design is amazing and rather elegant in my eyes.
Plus when the shifting works it is nice to have that range of gears compared to my 2 speed without compromising the weight. My partner has an aftermarket 5 speed and this does not shift as nicely as the Brompton.
I think we are just annoyed and concerned with this new product is that we expect a higher standard from them.

This has happened to me already, which in respect to folding it annoying as if i was in the lowest gear/largest sprocket it won't allow the crank to rotate backwards due to the misalignment of the rear derailleur.
There is a current fix on the way for this part, but be careful as speaking to some guys at the shop it actually the rear triangle than the derailleur that is causing the the chain to skip. Just an FYI.
