  • Which BB are you using on those hollograms? I've got a set in the cupboard I've never used because I didn't fancy using 30mm cranks with a BSA BB

  • Just some cheapo aliexpress thing. Issue is you need the extra long hollowgram axle. They’re not that common. Can’t use the standard 109mm one.

  • hmm maybe more trouble than they're worth then...

  • I don’t have a kid but I do have a dog. Omnium finally ready for some dog touring fun.

  • Super nice! What are you going to use for your dog to chill in?

  • I’ve ordered an large wire basket that I can pad out. He’s only a little Shih Tzu so doesn’t need anything huge. I want to get a custom bag for the front for shopping.

  • Yeah it’s a bit of a faff. There’s a lip on the long ones that you have to machine off.

  • Welcome to the club! Mine was on cargo duties yesterday but is mainly to be used to ferry around a little chihuahua

  • Looking forward to pics 😍

  • love the pizza slice reflector 🙂

  • Two weeks into cargobikelief. Have only used the car twice, whereas before it was an average of twice a day. Once to and from the airport and then to get far too much timber from Wickes. I just had to move it to allow a delivery to park closer and it felt odd getting in.

  • That's a win

  • excellent! I installed the Powunity tracker (cc/ @MCamb ) but looks like Fully Charged have not enabled the power port, have booked my first free service with them next week to do that.

  • Mine is on 20th May, so will have to remember to ask for that as I want to do the same.

  • they said they can install the tracker for free during the service

  • sorry if it's a re, but this is very cool.
my kids are too old for one of these, and i guess generating another child just to enable a bike purchase is probably taking things a bit far...

  • my kids are too old for one of these

    * cough *

  • hah! might take up a bit too much room in the bike sheds!

  • Good stuff. I only use my van about once a month. Should get rid of it really. I only use it to move my big ladders (though I could shift them using a trailer - if I had the pluck). Sothe van sits on my driveway as a storage container

  • recently fitted a PowUnity tracker after recommendation on here. It does seem to work - every time I move off the alarm goes off in my pocket because i've forgotten to turn it off

  • Anyone fitted a powunity on an ebullitt with an e6100 because I've had a nightmare with backpedal and when they've finally managed to get the thing connected can't now fit the the unit in the bike as the case is too flush. So I've given up.

  • backpedal?
PowUnity fits in either the Bullitts fine, older gen e6000 size frame extremely easily, E8000 easily and E6100/EP8 generation frames (has the Gates belt drive cut out) fairly easily. Cable management is not really tight in those, but a bit fiddly, you need a bit of tape or an extra pair of hands to make sure all cables go in the right place and don't get trapped.

Had a Brose motor powered 'Trio' bike the other day, the shell for that is very tight, a PowUnity would have fitted (the cylinder shaped unit) but customer brought a brand i've not heard of before that was a rectangular chip with a lipo cell strapped to the top of it (size of an Iphone 4), wouldn't fit anywhere 'inside' anything. So ended up making a space for it inside its cargo box that had most degree's of visibility to the sky and powered from front light circuit. Seemed to work, though supplied connectors were utter garbage.

  • Have you contacted powunity?

Could be that backpedal just haven’t got the know how on where to put it. Did you try and have a go yourself?

  • Backpedal

Being relatively new they might just be inexperienced.
