Thanks for the info, I felt it was doable... although. I'm not convinced I actually want a bathroom off my bedroom or a larger separate bathroom at the front but very useful to have a better understanding of whats possible.
I have however found the cladding I want and its not even too expensive, which I am sure must be a mistake.
When we were looking at different layouts for our loft and thinking of having the bathroom at the front of the house the builder was saying they can make the steels with holes in for the soil pipe to run through. Obviously having holes in the steels was going to add cost and I think they would need to use a slightly narrower pipe too. As it turned out we decided to have the bathroom in the middle and so the pipe just went straight out and connected with the stack.
