Virginia Creeper will grow quickly, but looks a bit boring in the summer. Lovely in the autumn when the leaves go red. Clematis will provide colour, but I'm a sucker for roses so I'd go for a climbing rose or two. Flowers all summer long if you keep on top of the deadheading.
